Slow leaks can remain hidden for years and cause structural damage to the framing components of your home. If you have a leak or suspect you may have a hidden leak, call us! We have methods of detecting even the smallest of leaks and can restore your property quickly, and efficiently.

What to do if you have a leak?

Step1: If your pipes burst or you have a suspected leak, start by shutting off the main water supply to your home to stop the flooding. The home's water shut off is commonly in the garage, mechanical room, near the water heater, or in a basement/crawlspace.

Step 2:
Call us immediately so we can get onsite ASAP to start the mitigation process. Once onsite we can determine if the leak is coming from a pipe, and whether a plumber needs to be called. If a plumber needs to be called, we work with local businesses and can refer you to one of our trusted partners.

What is done once we're onsite?

Initial Inspection
Once onsite, we’ll inspect your property and determine where the leak originated, what areas have been affected, and come up with the best course of action to start the drying process. We'll use a combination of moisture meters and thermal cameras to make sure we're finding every area that has been affected.

Proper Documentation
Once we’ve documented all important information such as the category of water (clean, grey, black), source of leak, and affected areas, we'll start the drying process.

Water Extraction
If there is standing water, powerful extractors will be used to remove as much of the water as possible. Making sure this step is done thoroughly is important as it'll minimize the amount of time that's required to dry out the areas.

Restorative Drying
We’ll strategically set up industrial dehumidifiers, fans, and other specialized equipment to continue the drying process and avoid potential mold growth. Throughout the drying process, we’ll continue to test and monitor the affected areas to make sure everything is drying properly

Sanitizing and Disinfection

Once we have confirmed the areas are thoroughly dry, we’ll sanitize the affected areas and determine what needs to be done to rebuild your property back to its pre-loss condition. We’ll work directly with your insurance provider and come to an agreement on how to best rebuild the property.

Reconstruction

Rebuild the property back to it’s original condition and do a walkthrough with the homeowner to make sure everything looks as good as new. We’ll also provide documentation of the completed project for insurance purposes.

We take pride in providing quality craftsmanship and provide a workmanship warranty on all of our repairs.

Leak Detection

Sudden bursts in pipes, appliance malfunctions, and flooding are all obvious and the source of the leak can usually be found easily. However, there are other slow leaks that can be much harder to locate. We have technicians with specialized training and the proper tools to detect these leaks. We combine our extensive knowledge of residential buildings with thermal cameras to find these hidden leaks.

Some indications that you may have a hidden leak are: peeling paint, discolored areas on walls/ceilings, cracks along drywall seams, soft subfloors, musty odors, water stains, mold and mildew stains. If you notice any of these throughout your home, feel free to call us for a free thermal inspection of the area.

Categories of Water

There are 3 different categories of water and each one of them need to be handled differently to make sure you’re home is restored properly. A properly trained IICRC certified technician will be able to identify the category of water as well as what materials have been affected. They’ll use this information in combination with IICRC standards to determine what specific action to take during the restoration process
